Come Play Show-And-Tell With DeBoer’s Auto

By Bill DeBoer on Oct 28, 2021 2:11:32 PM

Our employees at DeBoer’s Auto love to come to work every day for many reasons. One is because we all love working on cars and making customers happy, but we also genuinely like to have fun. A game we like to play often is show-and-tell. You might have played this when you were a kid or play it with your children now and can attest to how great of a game it is. We take it up a notch at DeBoer’s Auto and get our customers involved in our show-and-tell games by letting them see their vehicle in our shop while we tell them what they need to know about it.

Get Your Mercedes Sprinter Van Repaired Quicker At DeBoer’s Auto

By Bill DeBoer on Sep 16, 2021 11:45:00 AM

The Mercedes Sprinter Van is a great vehicle, but it’s also a very common one that we see in our shop at DeBoer’s Auto. The biggest problem is we often were not able to do the repair in-house because we did not have the equipment or parts to be able to work on them. This meant we had to send the vehicle to Mercedes to get repaired or the customer had to do so. We never like to make our customers jump through hoops or spend any extra money if it can be avoided, so we are thrilled to have acquired the Mercedes scan tool so we can handle most repairs to Mercedes Sprinter Vans in-house.

By Bill DeBoer on Sep 14, 2021 4:19:38 PM

The average driver doesn’t know a lot about their steering or suspension system, but that doesn’t make it any less important to maintain. Not keeping your shocks and struts operating properly might not hinder your day-to-day driving or create a noticeably different driving experience, but it could negatively impact you in an emergency situation. Part three of our three-part series on the safety triangle discusses what you need to know about maintaining your steering and suspension system.

Safety Triangle Part 2 - Understanding Your Brake System

By Bill DeBoer on Sep 9, 2021 5:14:27 PM

It’s always important to ensure your brake system is operating at maximum capacity. If they aren’t working at maximum capacity, they could still work effectively enough for a little while, but they will eventually fail quicker as well. The last thing you want to experience is a situation where you have to slam on the brakes in an emergency and they don’t work how they should. Part two of our three-part series on the safety triangle explains everything you need to know about maintaining your brake system.

Safety Triangle Part 1 - What To Know About Your Tires

By Bill DeBoer on Sep 7, 2021 11:57:49 AM

At DeBoer’s Auto, we focus a lot of attention on the safety triangle to educate our customers and inform them of why it’s important. There are three parts to the safety triangle and part one is the tires. People often take their tires for granted and simply air them up when they are low on air. There’s a little more you should do with them, though, to keep them properly maintained and safe to drive on. Here’s what you need to know and do with your tires regularly.

Why Flushing Transmission Fluid Is A Win-Win Situation For Vehicle Drivers

By Bill DeBoer on Aug 26, 2021 11:45:00 AM

Flushing out your automatic transmission is a service you should do regularly to keep your transmission alive and operating without any problems. If you don’t stay on top of this service, you could end up spending a significant amount of money in the long run when you have to get it replaced. We always recommend that our customers get a transmission fluid flush according to the manufacturer’s recommended timeline and here are some of the reasons why and how we do it.
