What isn't there to like about chocolate and strawberries? Chocolate-covered strawberries are one of my favorite special occasion treats and even though I could probably justify eating them for breakfast, it's probably not a suitable dish to serve for others who are looking for sustenance and possible nutrition. (but, in my mind there are strawberries which are fruit, and chocolate, well it has antioxidants so this would be just fine for me 😀) I found this little gem of a recipe when

Creamy Chicken Marsala
By Heidi Robertson on Dec 30, 2022 11:45:00 AM
This is one of my favorite go-to dinner recipes. It tastes like it should be made for a special occasion because it’s rich and creamy and so yummy. The cream just adds that extra goodness and creates instant comfort. The fact that it can be ready to serve in less than an hour makes it even more delicious in my book. A lot of recipes suggest that a portion of pasta is the perfect side to soak up the sauce, I like to do mine with mashed potatoes and love to load on the sauce.

Gingerbread Houses Fun for Everyone
By Heidi Robertson on Nov 26, 2022 11:59:00 AM
Family traditions are such a big part of the holiday season. Traditions have a way of gathering family and friends together in a way that is so special. For most, it's a way of honoring treasured moments from the past with loved ones that they can no longer be with while making new memories with those that they can.
Building gingerbread houses is one of those activities that gets everyone together and shows off the talents of all. The baker, the architect, the artist, and if you're the lucky one, the taster.

Chicken & Dumplings
By Heidi Robertson on Oct 25, 2022 11:50:00 AM
This right here is my ultimate comfort food. It brings me back to when I lived with my aunt and uncle while I was in college. Missing home and all things familiar my aunt would magically prepare this feel-better honey, meal and all instantly seemed right with the world. Its thick broth and the hint of lemon in the dumplings make it even more special.

Whipped Blueberry Cool Whip Dip

It's summertime in NJ and we aren't called the garden state without reason. The berries, the produce, the flowers are all just ripe for our enjoyment. With all the summer gatherings coming up, here's a yummy little addition to your dessert table. While fruit on its own is a healthy and delicious choice, think about adding a fruit dip side that adds some creamy sweetness to each bite.

Orange Glazed Bacon
By Heidi Robertson on Apr 28, 2022 11:45:00 AM
When planning your Mothers Day brunch consider this tasty side that packs the most pleasant surprise. On their own, these bacon strips are so delicious that you will want to at least double the recipe or you'll find that the dish is half empty from being snitched before it's time to serve. Crumbled, they are a nice addition to a quiche or wrap them around some pineapple to give a lovely sweet and savory option.
