As we approach the Fourth of July, we at DeBoer's Auto are grateful for the freedoms we enjoy and the community we are part of in Sussex County, NJ. The beauty of our area truly shines during this time of year, and we wanted to share some local events where you can enjoy spectacular fireworks displays. Here’s a little insight into where and when you can catch these dazzling shows:
Montague Day - Saturday June 29
At Town Hall will start at 4 p.m., with food, fun, and fireworks, and the Miss Montague contest at 4:30 p.m. Live music from 6-9 p.m. and tons to do while you're there.
FrankliNite at the Franklin Pond - Saturday, June 29
Beginning at 3 p.m. Vendors and food trucks to be there. Two bands, Mile 39 Band at 3 p.m. and Glenn Roberts Band at 6 p.m. The fireworks are will start around 9 p.m.
Skylands Stadium – Monday, July 1
Skylands Stadium will light up the sky following the Miners game. This fireworks show is included with your game ticket, so you can enjoy an evening of baseball followed by a spectacular display. Even if you don’t have a ticket, there are a few great spots to catch the fireworks off of Route 206 and Route 565.
Lake Mohawk Country Club in Sparta – Tuesday, July 2
On July 2nd, the Lake Mohawk Country Club will host a fireworks display for its community members. If you’re a member, the boardwalk offers the best view. For those who aren’t members, a fantastic alternative spot is the field in front of the Mohawk Avenue School at 18 Mohawk Ave, Sparta, NJ 07871.
Skylands Stadium – Thursday, July 4
Celebrate Independence Day on July 4th with Skylands Stadium’s Hometown Heroes night, featuring the biggest fireworks show of the season right after the Miners game. The fireworks are included with your game ticket, making it a perfect way to spend the holiday evening.
Vernon Community Fireworks – Thursday, July 4
Wrap up your 4th of July festivities at the Vernon Community Fireworks at Mountain Creek Resort. Enjoy a relaxing evening on the Great Lawn outside of the Red Tail Lodge. It’s a wonderful setting to lay back and watch the sky come alive with color.
