One of the essentials especially with little ones of a great summer day is ice cream. Lucky north jersey has some of the best homemade ice creams in the tri-state area. Places like Dairy Swirl in Vernon and Alpine Creamery have been stapled ice cream shops for years. They provide the classics but have their own unique flavors like a mocha chocolate chip at Dairy Swirl and Raspberry Truffle at Alpine Creamery.
Shops like these may have strong community followings but they should keep their eye out for new shops like Sparta’s Shack. Sparta’s Shack is shaking up what is served at an ice cream shop with new innovative creations. Even though they only opened their doors in early may they have become a star overnight. Unique creations like the Donut-tella which is a Nutella blended milkshake with a donut on top have broken the mold of what ice cream can be. It doesn't stop there as they also offer "the bagel cream" which is a bagel with ice cream and cannoli nachos.
This summer is bound to be good with all of these delicious treats right in north jersey.
