At DeBoer's Auto, we pride ourselves on having a dedicated team of professionals, and today we’re excited to introduce David Oplinger, one of our talented technicians.
David’s passion for automotive repair started out of necessity—he owned a beater car that always needed work, which sparked his interest in fixing cars. He studied automotive technology at Morris County Vo-Tech and gained hands-on experience as an apprentice at a local dealership. With four years of experience under his belt, David has developed a particular fondness for engine work, a skill he truly enjoys perfecting.
Originally from Morristown, NJ, David now lives in Hamburg, just minutes from the shop—a convenience he loves. But what he values most about being at DeBoer’s is the team. He enjoys working in a light, friendly atmosphere where co-workers support one another, and he appreciates the future opportunities for growth and learning within the company.
When he’s not working on cars, you can find David taking joy rides through New Jersey, always on the lookout for interesting places to explore. At home, he has some unique companions—a gecko named Albert and a turtle named Phillip.
David is committed to continuously improving his skills. He holds an AC Certification and is working towards his ASE Certifications, ensuring that he stays up to date with the latest in automotive technology.
