A Lab Scope to the Rescue

The lab scope captured real-time electrical waveforms, allowing the tech to compare the truck’s sensor signal to a healthy one. The culprit? A crankshaft position sensor that quit working when it got hot. With the problem pinpointed, the fix was made before the truck stranded its owner again.
