Expert Chevy Repair Shop

DeBoer's is a reputable Chevy repair shop with certified technicians and top-notch equipment to meet all your vehicle repair needs.

Chevrolet, an American car manufacturer with over 100 years of history, represents innovation, passion, and dependability. At DeBoer's we bring those same ideas into play when we service or repair Chevys — whether it's the classic Impala or a brand new Silverado.

How did Chevy become what it is today?  In 1911, General Motors founder William Durant and race car driver Louis Chevrolet founded the Chevrolet Motor Company (Chevy) and rolled out the Series C Classic Six, a design that had been prototyped in the months before the founding of the company. Due to differences of opinion on the direction the company should take, Louis Chevrolet sold his shares to Durant. Operating fully as a division General Motors, Chevrolet began competing directly with Ford in both style and price.

We think it's pretty tough for any American car to compete with a Corvette.

BI8_5274-1.jpgChevy offered a variety of makes and models from the beginning. There were low-end vehicles like the Standard Six in the 30s and sporty models like the Corvette which was introduced in the 50s. Chevrolet offered cars with class and style to moderate income families — about 10 percent of cars bought in the U.S. in 1963 were Chevys.

Aside from minor changes to stay with the times and the consumers' demands, Chevrolet remained the same, contributing to its success over the years. By 2011, Chevy held nearly 40 percent of the automobile market share for sales worldwide.

There are several issues we see with various models here in New Jersey. Most require just a quick trip to a shop that specializes in Chevys. Some electrical issues can cause speedometers to go awry and anti-theft systems to malfunction. A plastic material used by GM causes intake gasket leaks. The Silverado is a great Chevy truck, but has steering shaft issues that make rough roads feel rougher.

If you’ve experienced any of these problems, seek assistance from a Chevy repair shop immediately. With more than 30 years of automotive experience, we know you won't regret choosing DeBoer's Auto for your Chevy service and repair needs.
