What's New in Mid-August: From Piper's Desk

Hello Everyone!!!!  Hope you all have been staying cool these last couple of weeks!  It sure has been hot out there lately.  My Mom and Dad have been taking me out on some evenings to swim.  I have some cool new floating toys that I'll retrieve from the water but I'll just as soon swim out to get a scrappy old stick too.  I just love to swim!

My Mom and Dad also like taking me to the local dog parks so that I can meet and play with new friends.  My Dad recently took me to the Wantage Dog Park and we had so much fun.  We all recently took a day trip north of Sussex County to Thomas Bull Memorial Park in Montgomery, NY. There's a really great dog run inside the park and the Orange County Aboretum is right there too.  My Mom had a really great time taking pictures of the beautiful flowers while Dad and I recovered from our fun in the dog park.

This coming weekend, it will be six months since I came to NJ to live with my Mom and Dad; it's been a very wonderful time for all of us.  I've had so many great adventures that have included hikes, runs, swims and lots of playtime.  I've also enjoyed some quiet, sweet moments with my parents while we've relaxed on our deck and snuggled for some TV time in the evenings.  As a very, very grateful rescue pup, I would encourage anyone out there, who is looking for a new pet, to adopt rather than shop for that new best friend.  Adoption changes the entire world of an animal for the better; it might possibly save the animal's life!!!!  Make the world of difference for an animal in need; the gratitude of a rescued furclad soul will make your life and adventures together all the more bright and merry!!!!

Well that's all for now!!!!  Wishing you all a last couple of weeks in August that are filled with much fun, happiness and love!!!!

Warm regards and puppy kisses,

Piper, the rescue mutt
